How it started
The Idea
2014
With a vision of combining the personal and tactile elements of textiles with the immediacy and flexibility of digital services, Ivan Poupyrev joined ATAP in January 2014, and began working out the initial concepts behind Project Jacquard.
Cooper Hewitt Acquisition
2016
In September 2016 the Levi’s® Commuter™ Trucker Jacket was acquired by the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum for their permanent collection as part of the history of American Design. First Product Launch
2017
On September 27, 2017 the Levi’s® Commuter™ Trucker jacket with Jacquard by Google was put on sale. This was one of many firsts for Levi’s, but a particularly exciting moment for the Jacquard team.
Platform Launch

On September 12, 2019 a completely renewed Jacquard platform was launched with the Saint Laurent Cit-e Backpack. Cit-e Backpack is the first product that utilizes the next generation of Jacquard hardware and software that will transform the regular things that we love wear, and use everyday to have new digital functionality that allows you to do more and be more.
